Job summary

Kent is seeking a Junior Instrumentation Designer based in Deer Park, TX to support regional operation projects. The role requires 1 to 3 years’ experience in heavy industry and proficiency with AutoCAD, Intools (Smartplant), Navisworks, and Bentley.

Responsibilities include preparing drawings, coordinating with disciplines, conducting field investigations, and maintaining design standards. Local office presence and collaboration with engineers are expected.

Qualifications

• 1 to 3 years’ experience in refinery, midstream, petrochemical or other heavy industries.
• Proficient in instrument engineering design software tools.
• Strong knowledge of design standards and field engineering practices.

Responsibilities

• Prepare accurate and complete drawings using practical design knowledge.
• Coordinate with other disciplines to ensure quality products.
• Conduct field investigations and produce field reports with sketches.
• Maintain up-to-date on design processes, modeling, drafting techniques, IMS and standards.
