Job summary

Beontag in Dayton, Ohio is seeking a Junior Infrastructure Analyst to provide on-site IT support at our manufacturing facility. You will ensure availability of local IT infrastructure, support end-user devices, network connectivity, VMware environments, and Fortinet firewall solutions in a fast-paced industrial setting.

The ideal candidate is service-oriented, proactive, and ready to collaborate with users, vendors, and IT teams. On-site work with occasional travel to other sites may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience in IT-related field.
• Experience in IT support, help desk, or infrastructure support preferred.
• Knowledge of LAN/WAN, TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, Wi‑Fi, and basic network troubleshooting.
• Familiarity with VMware virtualization, Fortinet FortiGate, Windows, M365, and Active Directory.
• Intermediate English preferred; on-site availability and occasional after-hours support.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, maintain, and replace desktops, laptops, and IT equipment.
• Diagnose and resolve LAN/WAN and wireless network issues including switches and access points.
• Monitor and escalate incidents in local IT infrastructure; assist VMware environments.
• Assist with Fortinet firewall operations, VPNs, and security policies.
• Manage user accounts and access; document incidents and changes.
• Maintain IT asset and license inventory; coordinate with vendors and IT teams.
• Travel to other sites as needed to support infrastructure projects.

About the Job:

We are looking for a Junior Infrastructure Analyst to provide on-site IT support to users at our manufacturing facility. This role is responsible for ensuring the availability and proper operation of local IT infrastructure, including end-user devices, network connectivity, VMware environments, and Fortinet firewall solutions.

The ideal candidate is service-oriented, proactive, and comfortable working in a fast-paced industrial environment while collaborating with users, vendors, and other IT teams.

This is an on-site position based in Dayton, Ohio, with travel requirement.

Responsibilities:

• Provide on-site technical support to factory users, including troubleshooting hardware, software, printers, mobile devices, and peripherals.
• Install, configure, maintain, and replace desktops, laptops, and other IT equipment.
• Diagnose and resolve local network connectivity issues involving LAN, Wi-Fi, switches, cabling, and access points.
• Monitor the local IT infrastructure and elevate incidents when necessary.
• Support VMware virtual environments, including basic virtual machine monitoring, troubleshooting, and administration.
• Assist with the operation and monitoring of Fortinet firewalls, VPN connections, and network security policies.
• Manage user accounts, permissions, and access according to company procedures.
• Document incidents, solutions, infrastructure changes, and technical procedures.
• Maintain an updated inventory of IT assets, software licenses, and equipment.
• Support IT infrastructure activities, upgrades, deployments, and preventive maintenance.
• Coordinate with external vendors and regional or global IT teams.
• Follow cybersecurity, data protection, health, and safety policies.
• Provide timely support for business-critical manufacturing operations and minimize service disruptions.
• Be available to travel to other manufacturing sites as needed to provide technical support and assist with infrastructure projects.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree, technical degree, or ongoing education in Information Technology, Computer Science, Network Administration, or a related fiel; Or Equivalent work expetience.
• Previous experience in IT support, help desk, desktop support, or infrastructure support is preferred.
• Basic knowledge of LAN/WAN, TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, Wi-Fi, and network troubleshooting.
• Basic knowledge of VMware virtualization technologies.
• Familiarity with Fortinet firewalls and FortiGate solutions.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Windows, Microsoft 365, Active Directory, and standard enterprise applications.
• Basic understanding of IT security practices, VPNs, access control, and endpoint protection.
• Strong troubleshooting, communication, and customer-service skills.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and work effectively in a manufacturing environment.
• Ability to document technical information clearly and accurately.
• Intermediate English skills are preferred.
• Availability to work on-site and provide occasional support outside regular business hours, when required.
