Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in IT, CS, Cybersecurity or related field; or equivalent vocational training and experience.
• 0–2 years of IT support, network administration, or related security role.
• Foundational knowledge of cybersecurity concepts, including networking, operating systems, and common threats.
• Familiarity with security tools such as antivirus, firewalls, and basic SIEM concepts is a plus.
• Strong eagerness to learn and develop expertise in information security.
• Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills.
• Good verbal and written communication abilities; ability to work in a team.
• Proficiency with common office productivity software.
• Must be able to work from Welkom, Free State on a hybrid basis.

Responsibilities

• Monitor security alerts and system logs for suspicious activities.
• Assist in investigation and response to security incidents under guidance.
