Job summary

MANTECH seeks an experienced and passionate, career and customer-oriented Information Systems Security Officer (ISSO) to join our team at Fort Meade.

The role requires supporting organization IA programs, enforcing security policies, and maintaining operational security posture, with responsibilities spanning from security management to RMF-based authorization activities.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional experience in any capacity.

Responsibilities

Job description

MANTECH seeks an experienced and passionate, career and customer-oriented Information Systems Security Officer (ISSO) to join our team supporting in Fort Meade.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Support organization, system, or enclave IA programs

• Propose, coordinate, implement, and enforce security policies, standards, and methodologies.

• Establish and maintain operational security posture.

• Assist with information system security management and day-to-day security operations.

• Provide CM as needed for security software, hardware, and firmware. Manage system changes and assess security impacts.

• Prepare and review SSPs, Risk Assessment Reports, C&A packages, and SRTMs.

• Support security authorization activities in compliance with Government standards and the RMF

Minimum Qualifications:

• 5 years of professional experience in any capacity

• Experience or willingness to learn ISSO responsibilities

• Knowledge or willingness to learn current security tools,

• Experience or willingness to learn Hardware/software security implementation

Preferred qualifications:

• Experience with Splunk (search and reporting)

• Experience building Splunk dashboards

• Experience with AWS Docker services and Kubernetes

Clearance Requirements:

• Must have a current/active TS/SCI w/ Poly

Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to remain in a stationary position for extended periods of time.

• Needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.

• Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine and computer printer.

• The person in this position frequently communicates with co-workers, management, and customers, which may involve delivering presentations. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.
