Job summary

The Port of Seattle is seeking an Information Security Engineer/Analyst I to join the Information Security team at Seattle-Tacoma International Airport. The role focuses on building end-user security training, supporting security tools, and contributing to risk-driven cybersecurity initiatives.

Responsibilities include assisting in incident response, vulnerability assessments, policy development, and collaboration with Internal Audit.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of IT or security experience.
• Certifications such as Security+, CC (ISC)², or GSEC are preferred.
• Commitment to equity and inclusive practices.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Ability to communicate technical concepts to diverse audiences.
• Knowledge of CJIS, HIPAA, PCI-DSS, FISMA, GDPR requirements.

Responsibilities

• Create and facilitate end user training content related to information security and cybersecurity for diverse audiences.
• Use security tools to support programs’ core functions and key responsibilities.
• Contribute to efforts to assess, influence, deploy, and integrate cybersecurity solutions.
• Contribute to cybersecurity portions of project implementations including vulnerability scanning and third‑party security testing reports.
• Assist Internal Audit with up-to-date security techniques and best practices.
• Assist in detection and incident response of cybersecurity events and identify risks to systems and data.
• Develop and maintain Information Security policies, procedures, guidelines, and standards.
