Junior I Custodian - Afternoons (Monday-Friday; 1pm-9:30pm)

Position Overview

The Town of Natick's Facilities Department is seeking a dedicated candidate who is hardworking, ambitious, and team-oriented to fill a full-time School Custodian position. The work hours are Monday-Friday, from 1pm to 9:30pm.

Responsibilities

1. All custodial operations in assigned buildings, including scheduled and emergency cleaning, functions, and maintenance.
2. Substitute for Junior Custodian II as needed.
3. Perform cleaning duties: vacuuming, sweeping, mopping, washing, waxing, carpet cleaning, dusting, polishing, window cleaning, trash removal, and recycling.
4. Snow removal, if required.
5. Minor maintenance tasks: boiler operation, light bulb replacement, equipment maintenance, minor painting, plumbing, heating repairs, carpentry, locker and lock repairs, furniture repair, and exterior grounds maintenance.
6. Assist with moving furniture and equipment.
7. Roof drain clearing and maintenance.
8. Other duties as assigned.

Working Conditions

• Ability to work in a standard building environment, including walking, standing, bending, and climbing stairs (up to three stories).
• Lift up to 50 pounds regularly and occasionally up to 75 pounds.
• Climb and work on ladders.

Compensation and Application

Starting rate is $22.0558 per hour. The position remains open until filled.
