Job summary

Coffman Engineers in Anchorage, AK is seeking an entry-level Mechanical Engineer to contribute to planning and design of HVAC, plumbing, and related building systems. Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Architectural Engineering (ABET-accredited).
• 0–3 years of engineering experience.
• Ability to start in Q1 2027.
• Interest in HVAC, plumbing, and building mechanical systems.
• FE exam pass preferred.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Revit experience and related internships preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist in planning and design of HVAC, plumbing, and other building systems.
• Prepare equipment selections, specifications, and load calculations.
• Develop construction documents and coordinate with project teams.
• Collaborate with engineers and project managers on healthcare, education, government, and commercial projects.
• Possible exposure to commissioning, energy modeling, and Arctic/subarctic design.
