Job summary

SAGE VALLEY JUNIOR HIGH SCHOOL is seeking a dedicated 7/8 Assistant Wrestling Coach to lead wrestling instruction and support student athletes in daily practices and competitions.

The role requires knowledge of wrestling fundamentals, safety protocols, and the ability to coordinate equipment and safety checks, with a focus on student development and teamwork. This is an extra-duty, part-time position based in Gillette, WY.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of care and prevention of athletic injuries.
• Fundamental knowledge of wrestling and related sports.
• Ability to select from multiple instruction methods to teach activity objectives.
• Possess state of Wyoming coaching certificates.
• CPR and First Aid certifications are required.

Responsibilities

• Instruct students in fundamental wrestling skills and safety.
• Develop and manage equipment inventory and checkout procedures.
• Plan and enforce safety rules and equipment maintenance.
• Communicate effectively with players, parents, and staff.
• Model proper technique and supervise during practices and competitions.
