Job summary

Indian Creek Christian Church (The Creek) seeks a devoted Junior High Minister to lead 7th and 8th grade ministry, shaping vision, programming, and volunteers aligned with the church's mission to love God and love people.

You will develop environments where students encounter Jesus, build relationships, and grow in faith, while partnering with parents and the NextGen Team to connect more people to Jesus.

Qualifications

• Growing, authentic relationship with Jesus Christ and a life reflecting biblical character.
• Passion for discipling junior high students and families.
• Proven ability to recruit, lead, and develop volunteers.
• Strong relational, organizational, and communication skills.
• Self-motivated, dependable, and able to manage multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Junior High Ministry with vision, leadership, and oversight for 7th & 8th grade environments.
• Plan and execute engaging weekly programming (Jr High Bible Lab, Jr High Worship).
• Ensure programs are biblically sound, engaging, and age-appropriate; evaluate effectiveness.
• Recruit, develop, and shepherd a large volunteer team; provide coaching and regular communication.
• Build relationships with students; be present at school events and activities when possible.
• Partner with parents to equip them as primary disciplers and maintain consistent communication.
• Plan camps, retreats, service projects, and outreach events; create discipleship pathways.
• Collaborate with the NextGen Team and other staff to ensure seamless transitions between ministry stages.
