Apache Junction Unified School District is seeking a passionate Math Teacher for Cactus Canyon Junior High for the 2026–2027 school year. The role requires building an inclusive, engaging classroom and delivering standards-aligned math instruction in a dynamic middle school setting.

You will collaborate with a team, adapt lessons for diverse learners, and utilize data to drive instruction while maintaining accurate records and communicating with families.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Education or related field
• Valid Arizona Teaching Certificate (appropriate content area)
• SEI Endorsement preferred
• Strong knowledge of inquiry-based instruction
• Ability to engage diverse learners
• Experience with IEPs and inclusive practices

Responsibilities

• Create a positive, inclusive, and engaging classroom environment conducive to effective instruction and learning
• Deliver high-quality, standards-aligned math instruction using inquiry-based practices
• Develop lesson plans and materials to meet diverse learner needs
• Communicate clear learning goals in student-friendly language
• Facilitate small- and large-group instruction promoting inquiry and problem solving
• Integrate technology to enhance learning and engagement
• Evaluate student growth using varied assessments
• Maintain accurate records in line with district requirements
• Communicate with families to support student progress
• Collaborate with team on intervention planning for at-risk students
• Use data to inform instruction and student placement
• Implement IEPs with fidelity
• Supervise students on campus and at activities
• Participate in school events and professional learning
• Support district initiatives for collaboration and curiosity
