Job summary

Qualifications

• Experience assisting teachers in middle school settings.
• Ability to support students with diverse learning needs.
• Strong organizational and classroom setup skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist teachers with classroom instruction and daily activities.
• Work one-on-one or with small groups to reinforce lessons and improve student understanding.
• Support students with academic, behavioral, social, and organizational needs.
• Help supervise students in classrooms, hallways, cafeterias, and during school activities.
• Prepare instructional materials, organize classroom supplies, and maintain learning spaces.
• Monitor student progress and communicate observations to the teacher.
• Assist with technology and learning tools used in the classroom.
• Support students with accommodations outlined in IEPs or Section 504 plans, when applicable.
• Encourage positive behavior and help maintain a safe, respectful learning environment.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the teacher or school administrator.
