Job summary

St. Joseph Catholic School is seeking an Athletics Coach to develop and administer the school’s athletic program. The role involves planning practices, coordinating with the Athletic Director, and building relationships with Junior High and Varsity teams in TAPPS athletics.

This stipend position emphasizes faith integration, safety, and ongoing coach education. Summer camps and sport‑specific instruction are part of the role; certain teaching fields may be linked for the right candidate.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED (preferably Bachelor’s degree).
• Current CPR / First Aid certification.
• Ethics and Integrity in Ministry (EIM) compliant.
• 2-3 years coaching experience (preferably at the JH or HS level).

Responsibilities

• Support and uphold the mission of the Catholic Church.
• Plan and run practices and games in accordance with TAPPS guidelines.
• Communicate effectively with parents and staff.
• Collaborate with Athletic Director and other coaches.
• Mentor student‑athletes and promote sportsmanship and safety.
• Monitor student eligibility and supervise activities at events.
• Pursue ongoing coaching education and self‑improvement.
