The Cato Institute is seeking a Junior Graphic Designer to join the Design team and produce a high volume of visual work that communicates Cato's ideas to a broad audience. The role focuses 80% on digital design—socials, web assets, emails, and presentations—and 20% on print materials like brochures and event signage.

This full-time, non-exempt position is hybrid in Washington, DC, reporting to the Digital Design Manager.

Qualifications

• Portfolio demonstrating strong typography, layout, and color.
• Ability to work within a brand system and follow art direction.
• Excellent attention to detail and multi-project management.
• Clear, professional communication with non-design colleagues.

Responsibilities

• Design social graphics, web assets, emails, and presentations.
• Create print collateral including brochures and event materials.
• Collaborate with designers, producers, and marketing teams.
• Maintain organized asset libraries and version control.
• Adapt designs for multiple channels and brand templates.
