Job summary

American Society of Interior Designers is seeking a Junior Graphic Designer for an ongoing contract, hybrid in Matawan, NJ (onsite Tue and Thu). You’ll support the creative team on event materials, branding projects, and digital assets, with room to grow into a permanent role.

The ideal candidate has a keen eye for design, is eager to learn, and comfortable collaborating with senior designers. Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite and Google Docs is preferred; training will be provided.

Qualifications

• Must have basic design sense and ability to follow direction.

Responsibilities

• Design and update name badges, tent cards, signage, and event materials.
• Prepare artwork and files for print production.
• Make updates and revisions to existing designs.
• Assist with logos and basic branding projects.
• Research and source imagery (e.g., Shutterstock).
• Organize and manage creative files using Google Drive and Docs.
• Support senior designers with day-to-day project needs.
• Learn and follow the OFTS process and workflow (training provided).

Position Overview

Our client is seeking a Junior Graphic Designer on an ongoing contract basis to work on a hybrid model (onsite Tues & Thurs) to support the creative team on various projects and tasks. This temporary role offers the potential to transition to a permanent position. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for design, a willingness to learn, and flexibility to assist wherever needed.

Responsibilities Of The Junior Graphic Designer

• Design and update name badges, tent cards, signage, and other event materials.
• Prepare artwork and files for print production.
• Make updates and revisions to existing designs.
• Assist with logos and basic branding projects.
• Research and source imagery through Shutterstock and other resources.

Required Experience/Skills For The Junior Graphic Designer

• Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, especially Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign.
• Comfortable using Google Docs and Google Drive.
• Understanding of basic design principles.
• Some knowledge of print versus screen resolutions and preparing files for different formats.
• Positive, collaborative attitude with the ability to take direction and ask questions.

Preferred Experience/Skills For The Junior Graphic Designer

• Experience in a fast-paced creative or corporate communications environment.
• Familiarity with digital asset management and file organization.
• Basic knowledge of branding and logo design principles.
• Ability to multitask and manage time effectively.
• Relevant certifications or coursework in Adobe Creative Suite is a plus.

Education Requirements
