Job summary

State of Oklahoma is seeking an Auditor I for the Ada District Office. The role involves using accounting and auditing skills to conduct financial, operational, and federal compliance audits for county governments in several districts, with travel and possible overnight stays.

The position requires a bachelor’s in accounting or related field (or two years of audit experience), strong communication, proficiency in Excel/Word, and a valid driver's license. On-site work only under current posting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related business field, or minimum two years’ accounting/audit experience.
• Knowledge of GAAP, generally accepted auditing standards, and Government Auditing Standards.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.
• Proficiency in Excel and Word; valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Perform financial, operational, and federal compliance audits for county governments and other entities (Pittsburg, Latimer, Atoka, Bryan, Choctaw, Pontotoc, McCurtain).
• Travel to audit sites; overnight stays may be required; cannot audit in residence county.
