Job summary

GeoSearch is seeking a GIS developer to join our hybrid team in the United States. You will collaborate with senior developers to create geospatial solutions with Esri and custom frameworks, and perform needs assessments to define application and visualization requirements.

You will develop user acceptance tests and documentation, maintain and support applications as business needs evolve, and work on consulting projects for government and commercial clients. A U.S.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, GIS or related field with up to 3 years of experience.
• Desire to grow as a GIS developer.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and in agile teams with Git/GitHub.
• U.S. citizen capable of passing a federal background investigation to obtain a Public Trust clearance.

This is a hybrid role with 3 days expected in office.

• Participate in testing, supporting, and deploying tools and preparing technical documentation.

Required Skills & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, business, GIS or other relevant geospatial or data science related field with 0-3 years of professional experience
• Desire to grow as a GIS developer
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Excellent problem-solving, verbal and written communication, design development, and debugging skills
• Ability to work independently using strong organizational skills and operate effectively in team settings using an agile software development approach and tools like Git/GitHub
• Be a U.S. citizen capable of passing a federal background investigation to obtain a Public Trust clearance

Preferred Skills

• Experience working with ArcGIS Enterprise and Azure or AWS systems.

The projected range for this position is $81,000-$104,000 annually in our Tampa, FL office.
