Fortinet seeks a Junior Software Developer to contribute to the GenAI product line, participating in the full software lifecycle from design and debugging to feature implementation. You will work on Fortinet's GenAI platform and contribute to innovations like FortiChatAI.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering.
• Strong Python on Linux; Java or C++ is a plus.
• Knowledge of AWS or Azure and containerized environments (Docker preferred).
• Solid understanding of LLM/GenAI development environments.
• Web development knowledge.
• Relational and vector database development knowledge.
• Software design/architecture and multithreading programming basics.
• Familiarity with version control and QA standards.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain GenAI/ML software systems.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues in existing products.
• Execute system integrations in cloud and on-prem environments.
• Ensure code quality and manage updates with source control.
• Optimize and support existing software and document maintenance procedures.
• Develop and implement new features to high quality per specifications.
