Job summary

General Dynamics Information Technology is seeking a Junior Functional and Automation Tester to support planning, execution, and documentation of functional and automated testing for modern applications. You will collaborate with DevSecOps teams to ensure solutions meet business requirements and quality expectations.

You will help develop test cases, automate tests, report defects, and contribute to continuous improvement while learning testing standards, security practices, and delivery

Qualifications

• 1 year of software testing experience or related QA work.
• Foundational knowledge of testing concepts including functional/regression/defect lifecycle.
• Some experience creating or maintaining automated tests using common tools/frameworks.

Responsibilities

• Participate in test planning, scope definition, and environment needs with guidance from seniors.
• Develop and maintain automated tests (unit/API/integration/UI) per team standards.
• Log, track, and re-test defects; contribute to root-cause analysis with clear observations.
