Job summary

Talentify in Austin, TX is seeking a Jr. Software Engineer to join a hybrid team. You will interpret requirements, develop software, maintain code, run unit tests, and fix defects in a fast-paced Scrum environment.

The role requires a Bachelors in Computer Engineering or related field or practical experience, 0–1 year in Agile development, and familiarity with RESTful services, data modeling, ETL, Java/.NET Core, Angular, and MongoDB. Travel minimal.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering or related field, or practical experience.
0-1 year of software development experience in an Agile environment.
Experience with RESTful web services and data engineering (ETL, data modeling).
Knowledge of Angular and Java/.NET Core in a full-stack context.
Experience with MongoDB; knowledge of cloud platforms is a plus.

Responsibilities

Interpret written requirements and technical specifications for software solutions.
Develop software based on technical specs and investigate client-reported issues.
Maintain software and fix defects identified during maintenance.
Run unit tests, implement test plans and document results.
Investigate defects and propose solutions found during testing.
Collaborate in a fast-paced Scrum team within WAM Engineering.
