Parallel Systems is building autonomous, battery-electric rail vehicles to transform freight in the U.S. Our Interfaces team develops the operator application and enterprise surfaces that power our growing software platform.

This is a junior role with real ownership. You will learn quickly, collaborate across product and vehicle engineering, and contribute to end-to-end features from UI to data models and APIs as we expand enterprise software.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Comfortable writing software in TypeScript or Rust and component-based UI (React or similar).
• Track record of picking up new tools, languages, or domains and becoming useful.

Responsabilités

• Build and improve the operator and customer product platform in TypeScript, React, and Rust.
• Ship features in our Electron operator application.
• Work with product and vehicle/systems engineers to turn operational needs into clear, reliable interfaces.
• Own features end-to-end: understand the user, implement, test, document, and follow through after merge.
• Grow into full-stack product work as we expand enterprise software, including data models, APIs, and performance and reliability.
