Cadmus is seeking a Junior Full Stack Developer to join our Federal Operations Group to support a file management application and enterprise platforms for a federal health care organization. The role involves building web applications, collaborating with agile teams, and deploying on AWS with Docker/Kubernetes.

A Bachelor's degree and 1–2 years of experience are typical, with a strong emphasis on modern frontend/backend technologies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
• 1–2 years of experience in full stack web development - Python, JavaScript, NodeJS.
• Experience with relational databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, or similar).
• Proficiency with Git and collaborative development workflows.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins) and DevOps practices.
• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Knowledge of HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript/TypeScript.
• Knowledge of automated testing frameworks and test-driven development.
• Comfortable in stepping out of the comfort zone to suggest, test, implement new technologies and frameworks.
• Ability to independently research and suggest solutions for ongoing improvement including new frameworks and infrastructure requirements.
• A passion for scaling software, ensuring high availability and proactive issue resolution.
• Strong communication skills - both written and verbal.
• Agile oriented in approach to engineering and operations, including comfort with ambiguity in a flat organization.

Responsabilités

• 1–2 years of hands-on experience building and maintaining web applications using modern frontend and backend technologies.
• Collaborate with senior developers, product owners, and DevOps engineers to design, develop, test, and deploy scalable applications on cloud infrastructure.
• Develop responsive and interactive user interfaces using Angular and /or React.
• Design, develop, and maintain backend services using Python and/or JavaScript (NodeJS).
• Design, implement, and integrate REST APIs with frontend applications and third-party services.
• Deploy, configure, and maintain applications on AWS cloud services.
• Work in Linux environments for application deployment, troubleshooting, and automation.
• Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code following coding standards.
• Participate in code reviews, debugging, testing, and performance optimization.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams using Agile/Scrum methodologies.
• Troubleshoot production issues and assist in maintaining application availability.
