Job summary

Capgemini is seeking a Junior Frontend Developer in the Dallas area to build and maintain UI features across web and mobile applications under guidance from senior engineers.

You will write clean, tested code, fix bugs, and participate in code reviews, collaborating with designers, QA, and backend teams. Experience with HTML/CSS/JS/TS and frameworks like React/Angular/Vue is expected; a willingness to learn and grow is essential.

Qualifications

• 0-2 years of professional frontend development experience (internships count).
• Foundational knowledge of at least one modern framework (React, Angular, or Vue).
• Exposure to mobile development concepts (native iOS/Android or cross-platform) is a plus.
• Comfortable using AI coding assistants (Copilot, ChatGPT, Claude, or similar).
• Basic understanding of REST APIs and version control (Git).
• Strong fundamentals in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript/TypeScript.
• Eagerness to learn, take feedback, and grow technically.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain UI features across web and/or mobile applications under senior guidance.
• Write clean, tested code following established component and state-management patterns.
• Fix bugs, address QA feedback, and implement small enhancements independently.
• Use AI coding assistants to speed up development, test writing, and debugging.
• Participate in code reviews - both giving and receiving feedback.
• Collaborate with designers, QA, and backend engineers to deliver features end-to-end.
• Document components and contribute to team knowledge base.
• Participate in sprint planning, stand-ups, and estimation.
