Job summary

Mod Worldwide, LLC in Philadelphia, PA is seeking a Front-End Web Developer for a contract position. You will collaborate with senior developers, designers, and product stakeholders to build reliable, performant web experiences using Next.js and React Native for web, with basic PHP support.

You will manage CMS content in Directus and WordPress, design CMS schemas, perform front-end optimization, and work with Laravel is a bonus. Daily stand-ups and sprint planning are part of the process.

Qualifications

• Significant proficiency in Next.js (no exceptions).
• Proficiency in React Native for web.
• Familiarity with basic PHP for back-end tasks.
• Experience with CMS platforms Directus and WordPress.
• Experience with Git and GitHub/GitLab/Bitbucket.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work autonomously or in a team setting.
• Preferred: Laravel framework knowledge.
• Knowledge of RESTful APIs or GraphQL.
• Basic SQL databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL).
• Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and cloud services (AWS, Azure, GCP).

Responsibilities

• Implement and maintain front-end features using React Native for web and Next.js.
• Collaborate with designers to ensure responsive, user-friendly interfaces.
• Build and manage content-driven features within Directus and WordPress.
• Troubleshoot and optimize front-end performance.
• Edit and add content within CMS Directus and WordPress; design CMS schemas.
• Use basic PHP for server-side logic and API integrations.
• Contribute to Laravel projects (bonus).
• Participate in daily stand-ups and sprint planning.
• Write clean, maintainable, well-documented code.
• Support CI/CD and deployment processes.
