Job summary

Splice is seeking a talented Junior Freelance Video Editor to produce high‑quality, longform YouTube videos from a remote US location. You’ll manage a 1–2 camera multicam setup, blend screen recordings, and ensure pacing that keeps viewers engaged. A sharp ear for audio and music integration will be key to polish the final cut.

Proficiency in Premiere Pro or DaVinci Resolve is required; Blender experience is a plus. This contract role pays $1,000 per finished video edit.

Junior Freelance Video Editor (Longform YouTube)

The Role We are looking for a talented Freelance Video Editor to help produce high‑quality, longform YouTube videos. If you have a sharp eye for pacing, a strong background in audio, and the technical skills to seamlessly blend multi‑cam footage with screen recordings, this role is for you.

What You’ll Do

• Multicam Workflow: Seamlessly sync, cut, and transition between 1-2 camera angles and a separate high‑resolution screen recording file.
• Audio Sweetening: Leverage your music production knowledge to clean up dialogue, balance audio levels, and score the video to keep viewers engaged.
• Storytelling & Pacing: Edit raw footage into polished, compelling longform content tailored specifically for audience retention on YouTube.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Video Software: 3+ years of professional editing experience using Adobe Premiere Pro or DaVinci Resolve.
• Audio Expertise: A background as a music producer or strong familiarity with Digital Audio Workstations (DAWs) is highly preferred.
• Platform Knowledge: Proven experience editing longform content specifically for YouTube.
• Bonus Skills: Any working experience with Blender for 3D elements, text, or animation is a major plus.

This is a contract role: The pay range for this role is $1,000 per long form video edit completed.
