Job summary

PTMA Financial Solutions in Minnesota is looking for an Analyst to support fixed income credit research and surveillance of assigned sectors, working closely with portfolio managers. You will assist the separate account team and contribute to broader risk management functions.

Responsibilities include performing quantitative and qualitative analyses, preparing earnings and regulatory updates, monitoring exposures, maintaining financial models, and delivering clear profiles to the investment

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, or related field.
• Progress toward CFA and/or MBA preferred.
• 1 to 3 years in investment management or investment banking as fixed income trader or analyst.

Responsibilities

• Support fixed income credit research and surveillance of assigned industry sectors.
• Perform quantitative and qualitative analyses, ratings assignments and reviews, and prepare profile updates.
• Assist with earnings updates and communicate findings to the investment team for portfolio strategy.
• Monitor separately managed account exposures and analyze sector/credit trends.
• Maintain and support financial models and provide peer analysis for recommendations.
• Support risk management and internal models with research insights.
• Prepare reports to support the Portfolio Management Team and client meetings.
• Collaborate with Quantitative and Risk Analyst functions as needed.
• Develop proficiency with Bloomberg, Clearwater Analytics, S&P, PTMA databases.
