Job summary

DV Trading in Northfield, Illinois seeks a committed professional to support the head of a fixed-income relative-value trading desk. You will engage in live positions, research, and execution, while building tools and workflows to enhance efficiency.

The role emphasizes rapid decision-making, accountability, and steep learning with substantial upside through direct exposure to portfolio construction, trading, research, and risk management from day one.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in a rigorous quantitative field.
Strong quantitative reasoning and ability to think clearly under pressure.
Genuine interest in markets, trading, technology, and risk.
Ability to learn unfamiliar concepts quickly and apply them.

Responsibilities

Work with the head of the trading desk on live positions, research, execution, and risk management.
Monitor fixed-income markets, relative-value relationships, exposures, and opportunities.
Build and improve analytical tools, trading systems, data pipelines, dashboards, and automated workflows.
Research new strategies and test ideas using market data and quantitative methods.
Investigate pricing discrepancies and explain drivers of market changes and portfolio performance.
Execute accurately under pressure and follow through.
Own operational details and ensure reliability.
Learn the desk’s investment process and gradually assume more responsibility.
