Job summary

Lattice Semiconductor is seeking an enthusiastic Firmware Engineer (Entry Level / Fresh Graduate) to join our hardware-focused team in the Duluth area. You will work on UEFI firmware development for ARM-based platforms and collaborate closely with senior engineers on platform bring-up and boot firmware integration.

Ideal candidates have a solid grounding in embedded systems and computer architecture, with hands-on firmware experience.

Qualifications

• Strong academic foundation in embedded systems, computer architecture, and firmware development.
• Willingness to collaborate with senior engineers on complex firmware tasks.
• Familiarity with boot firmware concepts and debugging on hardware.

Responsibilities

• Assist in development, testing, and debugging of UEFI firmware for new hardware platforms.
• Support firmware porting and integration for new platforms under guidance of seniors.
• Participate in board bring-up, power-on validation, and hardware debugging.
• Collaborate with hardware, silicon, and software teams to troubleshoot firmware issues.
• Assist in integration and validation of ARM Trusted Firmware-A (TF-A).

Job Description
We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Firmware Engineer (Entry Level / Fresh Graduate) with a strong academic foundation in embedded systems, computer architecture, and firmware development. The selected candidate will work closely with senior engineers on UEFI firmware development, platform bring-up activities, and ARM-based boot firmware integration for next-generation hardware platforms.
Key Responsibilities

• Assist in the development, testing, and debugging of UEFI firmware for new and existing hardware platforms.
• Support firmware porting and integration activities for new hardware platforms under the guidance of senior engineers.
• Participate in board bring-up, power-on validation, and basic hardware debugging activities.
• Collaborate with hardware, silicon, and software teams to troubleshoot firmware and system-level issues.
• Assist in the integration and validation of ARM Trusted Firmware-A (TF-A) and related boot firmware components.
