Job summary

Artemis Consulting, LLC is seeking a Mid-Level Financial Management Analyst/Consultant to support the Department of the Navy and NAVWAR in Washington, D.C. This is a full-time, onsite role based at the Washington Navy Yard.

You will work with a team to deliver high-quality accounting and financial management support to government clients, involving budgeting, reconciliations, reporting, and data analysis using Excel, N-ERP, Power BI, and Tableau. A SECRET (or higher) clearance may be required.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution.
  • 1–3 years of financial management, accounting, or consulting experience.
  • Ability to obtain a SECRET security clearance (TS/SCI may be required).

Responsibilities

  • Enter, maintain, extract, manipulate, and report financial data from multiple financial systems
  • Process vendor funding actions, including required financial data entry, execution, and tracking
  • Prepare account reconciliations and perform financial research to ensure funding accuracy and consistency
  • Extract and analyze financial data from government systems, including Navy ERP (N-ERP)
  • Compile and present financial information through spreadsheets, reports, presentations, and dashboards
  • Prepare and analyze monthly execution and performance reports
  • Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial modeling activities
  • Respond to ad hoc financial reporting and variance analysis requests from clients
  • Utilize advanced Excel functions, including Pivot Tables and VLOOKUPs, for data analysis and reporting
  • Communicate findings, recommendations, and financial insights to stakeholders

Headquartered in San Diego, CA, with employees across multiple states, we serve the Department of War (DoW), the Navy, and the Naval Information Warfare Systems Command (NAVWAR).

We specialize in Financial Management, Program Management, Acquisition Management, and Administrative Management Support. Our consultants work directly with government clients to improve business and acquisition processes, deliver tailored solutions, and help bring critical technology and communications systems to the Navy fleet.

****Government Security Clearance Information****

Employment is contingent upon obtaining and maintaining an active security clearance. Non-U.S. citizens are ineligible. The adjudication process evaluates overall reliability and trustworthiness, including adherence to federal laws prohibiting marijuana use (recreational, medical, or CBD).

Position Type: Full-time, salaried with benefits

Salary Range: $55,000-$80,000 ($26.44/hr-$38.46/hr)

Travel: < 10%

Position Overview

We are seeking a Mid‑Level Financial Management Analyst/Consultant to support the Department of the Navy and NAVWAR in Washington, D.C. This is a full‑time, onsite position located at the Washington Navy Yard.

In this role, you will work alongside a team of consultants to deliver high‑quality accounting and financial management support to government clients. The position requires a balance of independent execution and daily collaboration with cross‑functional teams and stakeholders.

Key Focus Areas
  • Supporting DoW Planning, Programming, Budgeting, and Execution (PPBE) activities
  • Developing and executing government budgets and annual financial spend plans
  • Conducting account reconciliations, financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
  • Providing financial analysis and recommendations to support client decision‑making
  • Supporting budget execution, funding actions, and financial tracking
Responsibilities

  • Experience with data visualization tools such as Power BI or Tableau preferred
  • Experience with Access databases preferred
  • Familiarity with Navy Enterprise Resource Planning (N-ERP) preferred
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution
  • One to three (1-3) years of financial management, accounting, consulting, or related experience preferred
  • Ability to obtain a SECRET government security clearance (TS/SCI may be required for specific projects)
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel
  • Experience with government finance, accounting, consulting, NAVWAR financial systems, or PPBE processes preferred
  • Experience using data visualization platforms such as Tableau or Microsoft Power BI preferred
