Position Overview

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Financial Advisor to support our advisory team in delivering comprehensive financial planning and investment services. This role is designed for an early-career professional looking to build a long-term career in financial advising.

The Junior Advisor works under the supervision of Lead Advisors while developing technical expertise, client relationship skills, and industry credentials.

Key Responsibilities
  • Gather, organize, and analyze client financial information.
  • Prepare retirement projections, cash flow analyses, insurance needs reviews, and education funding analyses.
  • Assist in drafting financial planning recommendations.
  • Maintain accurate client records in CRM and financial planning software.
  • Identify planning gaps or risks and elevate to senior advisors.
  • Prepare meeting materials and reports.
  • Attend client meetings and document action items.
  • Assist in presenting portions of financial plans.
  • Draft follow-up communications and track implementation steps.
  • Assist in portfolio reviews and allocation analysis.
  • Monitor investment performance and prepare reporting materials.
  • Support rebalancing and implementation efforts (under supervision).
  • Understand and communicate model portfolio strategies.
Implementation & Service
  • Coordinate account openings, transfers, beneficiary updates, and other service needs.
  • Work cross‑functionally with operations, compliance, and tax teams.
  • Ensure documentation meets regulatory and firm standards.
Compliance & Risk Management
  • Adhere to firm policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Stay informed on industry regulations and best practices.
Required Qualifications
Education
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Financial Planning, Economics, Accounting, Business, or related field required.
Licensing (Industry Standard Expectations)

One of the following is required or must be obtained within 6–12 months of hire:

  • Series 7 and Series 66
  • Ability and willingness to obtain required licenses within defined timeframe.
Preferred Credentials
  • CFP coursework completed or in progress strongly preferred.
  • CFP certification (preferred but not required).
  • Life & Health Insurance License (or willingness to obtain).
Experience
  • 4 years of experience in financial services, banking, investment management, or related field.
  • Internship experience in financial planning highly valued.
Technical Skills
  • Financial planning software (eMoney, MoneyGuidePro, or similar).
  • Understanding of:
