Job summary

HKS, Inc. is seeking an entry-level to junior enclosure designer/engineer in Kentucky to contribute to façade and enclosure projects. You will assist with sketches, BIM models, and documentation while collaborating with project leaders on technical and design aspects of implementation.

The role involves routine architectural and energy analysis tasks, ensuring quality work and timely delivery, and may include training-based higher-level work and site/inspection participation as needed.

Qualifications

Accredited professional degree in Architecture, Engineering, or related field.
On the path to Architectural or Engineering Registration.
Typically with 0-3 years of experience.
Sustainable design accreditation preferred.
Knowledge of Revit, AutoCAD, Rhino, SketchUp preferred.
Experience with scripting/parametric tools such as Grasshopper, Dynamo, Python, C#.
Familiarity with structural/thermal/energy modelling tools is beneficial.

Responsibilities

Modifies or creates enclosure sketches, drafted details, 3D models, BIM models, narratives, specifications, reports and other documentation.
Works closely with project or team leaders on all technical and design aspects of project implementation.
Performs routine architectural, engineering, and energy analysis assignments with others.
Checks the quality and accuracy of own work and meets deadlines.
May participate in proposals, presentations, schedules, samples, or models.
Communicates with internal/external teams and attends meetings as appropriate.
