Job summary

Aretè & Cocchi Technology is looking for an Expediting Officer in Houston, Texas, to ensure timely delivery of materials and services for projects. You will coordinate between procurement, vendors, and the project team to prevent delays and ensure compliance with contractual requirements. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree and at least 3 years of experience in Supply Chain within the Oil & Gas sector. This full-time position offers a hybrid working model and a comprehensive benefits package including health insurance and retirement plans.

Qualifications

  • 3 years experience in Supply Chain, preferably in Oil & Gas EPC/EPIC environment.
  • Bachelor’s degree in related disciplines is mandatory.
  • Technical knowledge in logistics and procurement is a plus.

Purpose of the position

As Expediting Officer you will be part of the Post Order Services team at Saipem America. As Project Expediter your primary purpose is to ensure that all materials, equipment, and services required for a project are delivered on time, in the correct quantity, and in compliance with contractual, technical, and project requirements, so that project execution is not delayed.

Project Expediter acts as the link between procurement, vendors, logistics, inspection, and the project team to:

  • Prevent delays that could impact construction, fabrication, or installation
  • Monitor supplier performance against PO terms and milestone dates
  • Identify risks early and drive corrective actions
  • Protect the project schedule and cost baseline
  • Ensure consistent and accurate communication

Serve as the single point of coordination between:

  • Project team
  • Procurement
  • Inspection / QA
  • Logistics
How can you support us?
  • Review Purchase Order and all the contractual documentation to detect discrepancies and prevent any misunderstanding that could potentially cause delays
  • Contact the Vendor to check correct receipt and interpretation of the Purchase Order, expediting the issuance of acknowledge of the order
  • Ensure that the vendor supply schedule covers all the supply cycle phases (engineering, procurement, construction, inspection, preparation for shipment and transport) and its compliance with contract delivery terms and dates
  • Facilitate the interface between Vendors and Saipem Functions involved in the supply chain activities
  • Provide reliable and up-to-date information on supply progress status according to the delivery criticality
  • Monitor all supply chain phases to timely identify and manage any potential cause of delay, and mitigate delays already detected
  • Ensure timely availability of suitable shipping documentation to allow the shipping and transportation of the purchased materials
  • Ensure timely identification and management of "dual use"
  • Guarantee SAP exhaustive and punctual updating
  • Ensure the correct issuance of Goods Receipts and release of achieved Milestones. Ensure continuous correct forecasting of Milestones achievement as well as Goods expected delivery dates
  • Support Liquidated Damages competent function to properly evaluate the reason of delay
  • Support competent function in the definition of Vendor variation request/claims
What are we looking for?

Education: Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Logistics, or a related discipline.

Background: 3 years in Supply chain, preferable in the Oil & Gas EPC / EPIC environment

Technical Knowledge: candidates with transferable experience in logistics, procurement, or supply chain will be considered.
