Job summary

HHV is seeking an Entry-Level Event Assistant to support live events, community activities, and promotional programs in the local area of Virginia Beach. This entry-level position requires no prior event experience, and paid training will be provided to help you develop essential event-support and customer service skills.

The ideal candidate is dependable, professional, and comfortable engaging with the public.

Qualifications

No previous event experience required.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

Assist with event setup and breakdown.
Prepare event materials, displays, supplies, and informational materials.
Welcome and assist event attendees.
Provide information and answer basic questions from attendees and community members.
Assist with registration, check-in, demonstrations, and information tables.
Help maintain an organized and professional event environment.
Support event and promotional activities as directed by the event team.
Communicate professionally with customers, attendees, and team members.
Attend scheduled training sessions and team meetings.
Follow event procedures, schedules, and instructions from supervisors.
Work collaboratively with other team members during events.
