Qualifications

• 0–2 years of construction, estimating, or preconstruction experience.
• Construction internship or co-op experience is a plus.
• Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, Mathematics, or related field preferred.
• Ability to read and understand basic construction drawings.
• Strong mathematical, analytical, and organizational skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel.
• Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn.

Responsibilities

• Assist with quantity takeoffs and preparing project estimates.
• Review construction drawings, specifications, and project documents.
• Research material, subcontractor, and supplier pricing.
• Assist with soliciting and leveling subcontractor proposals.
• Help prepare bid and proposal packages.
• Document assumptions, inclusions, exclusions, and alternates.
• Identify scope gaps and potential cost issues.
• Maintain accurate estimating files and pricing information.
• Work closely with Estimators, Preconstruction, Operations, vendors, and subcontractors.
