You will prepare accurate quantity takeoffs and assist with cost estimates focusing on earthwork, utilities, grading, paving, and related civil scopes.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Basic understanding of construction drawings and civil plans.
• Attention to detail and accuracy.
• Proficiency in Excel and basic computer applications.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform detailed quantity takeoffs from drawings and specifications.
• Measure earthwork, utilities, paving and related scopes.
• Review civil plans for accuracy, completeness and conflicts.
• Identify missing information and flag discrepancies to senior estimators.
• Assist in preparing cost estimates for bids and proposals.
• Input takeoff quantities into estimating software and spreadsheets.
• Maintain historical cost data and production rates.
• Assist with bid day preparations and revisions.
• Assist in gathering pricing from suppliers and subcontractors.
• Compare quotes and help organize bid tabs.
• Maintain vendor and subcontractor contact lists.
• Maintain organized estimating files and support preconstruction handoff.
