Vermeer Midwest invites you to join as a Sales Trainee to learn the sales process alongside Territory Managers and Product Specialists. You’ll gain hands-on experience with Vermeer equipment, CRM tools, and customer interactions while building a foundation for a Territory Manager role.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Two years of experience working for an equipment dealer preferred.
• Knowledge of heavy equipment and its applications preferred.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Class A CDL preferred.
• Must meet company driving and insurance requirements.

Responsibilities

• Shadow and assist Territory Managers with customer visits, sales calls, and prospecting activities.
• Participate in equipment demonstrations, customer training, and customer start-up activities.
• Learn equipment operation, applications, features, and benefits to effectively communicate value to customers.
• Assist with lead follow-up efforts and customer relationship management activities.
• Build proficiency in CRM software by entering customer information, creating quotes, and maintaining accurate records.
• Help prepare sales and trade-in documentation with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
• Learn to develop weekly and monthly sales plans using CRM tools and sales data.
• Support post-sale follow-up activities to ensure customer satisfaction and long-term relationships.
