Job summary

Langan is hiring an Entry-Level Environmental Engineer or Geologist to join our San Jose, CA team. The role involves site exploration, contaminated site investigations, soil and groundwater sampling, vapor intrusion work, and remediation design and monitoring.

You will work with senior staff on a diverse portfolio of environmental projects in a learning-focused environment. Ideal candidates have a Bachelor's in Environmental Engineering or Geology, a 3.0 GPA, 0–2 years of experience or

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Engineering or Geology.
Minimum GPA of 3.0.
0–2 years of work-related experience; internship preferred.
EIT or GIT certification or exam registration preferred.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work independently and in a team; overtime may be required.

Responsibilities

Perform field inspections and environmental investigations.
Conduct air, soil, gas, and groundwater sampling and remediation activities.
Assist with planning and execution of field investigations; logging borings and collecting data.
Oversee remediation activities and subcontractors; ensure compliance with specs.
Document results and communicate findings to supervisors; assist with reports and plans.
Support data management, evaluation, and environmental assessments.
Perform additional duties as requested.
