Job summary

Rohde & Schwarz USA Inc. in the Dallas–Fort Worth Area is seeking a Junior Engineer to join the Systems Organization, Applied Solutions, a center delivering turnkey RF systems across North and South America.

Recent graduates will contribute across Pre-Sales, Systems Design & Test, installation, and support, with opportunities to travel within the US and occasionally internationally. Join a global tech leader delivering cutting-edge solutions.

Qualifications

• Recent BSEE with GPA above 3.0.
• Interest in RF test systems design including instrumentation, switching, amplifiers, antennas, anechoic chambers, and measurement software.
• Knowledge of core RF fundamentals: VSWR, insertion loss, modulation formats, system sensitivity, noise figure, and power/field strength calculations.
• Strong verbal and written communication and customer interface skills.
• Strong problem solving and analytical abilities.
• Ability to work with diverse personalities in a fast-paced environment.
• Willingness to travel extensively within the US with occasional international travel.
• Must reside in the US and be a US citizen.

Responsibilities

• Pre-Sales – understand customer application needs and test plan requirements to scope preliminary designs, develop quotes, and produce proposals.
• Systems Design & Test – develop complete design packages and documentation for production handover and testing within our Texas facility.
• Systems Installation & Training – supervise & perform onsite installations, integrations, and training across North America.
• Systems Support – provide third-level technical support to customers who purchased Rohde & Schwarz systems.
• Customer Satisfaction – ensure timely resolution of design, production, implementation, and support issues by managing escalations and coordinating resources.
• Process Improvement – develop standardized design concepts & best practices for project execution.

The Applied Solutions Organization is the project realization Center of Competence serving North and South America. With sister operations in Germany and Singapore, we are one of three centers delivering turnkey systems across the globe. Our systems solutions business is experiencing rapid growth, and we are looking for recent college graduates to enable this expansion, help shape future offerings, and transform delivery methods.

Your tasks

• Pre-Sales – understand customer application needs and test plan requirements in order to scope preliminary designs, develop customer quotes, and produce technical proposals
• Systems Design & Test – develop complete design packages and documentation for production handover and systems testing within our Texas facility
• Systems Installation & Training – supervise & perform onsite systems installation, integration, acceptance testing, and training at customer facilities across North America
• Systems Support – provide third-level technical support to customers who have purchased R&S Systems
• Customer Satisfaction – ensure timely resolution of specific design, production, implementation, and support issues, by managing escalations and coordinating local & remote resources as required
• Process Improvement – develop standardized design concepts & best practices for project execution

Your Qualifications

• Graduating or recent BSEE with GPA > 3.0
• Desire to build expertise in RF test systems design and operation, including instrumentation, switching, high-power amplifiers, antennas, anechoic chambers, and measurement system software
• System design understanding of core RF fundamentals including VSWR, insertion loss, signal modulation formats, system sensitivity, noise figure, and power / field strength calculations
• Excellent communication (verbal and written) and customer interface skills
• Deep problem solving and analytical capabilities
• Must work well with multiple personality styles in a fast-paced and changing environment
• Maintain calm & professional demeanor while being driven by multiple competing interests & priorities
• Ability to travel extensively within the US with occasional international travel
• Must be able to lift at least 40 lbs.
• In order to be considered, candidates must reside in the US and have US citizenship (customer requirement)

The total compensation for this position is $90k-$115K. Total compensation includes base salary, variable pay (when applicable) plus benefits. The range is determined by the position, geographic location and level. Individual pay within the range is determined by several factors including location, education or training, relevant work history, sales incentive structure and job-related skills.
