About the Role

The operations engineer will resolve issues in our production environment, perform escalation triage, and proactively monitor systems. You will be part of a team of technology generalists with diverse skills.

Responsibilities

1. Maintain understanding of supported products and environments.
2. Create and update operational documentation.
3. Manage changes in services and product configurations.
4. Monitor application and production environments proactively.
5. Respond to system alerts via email or mobile.
6. Perform root cause analysis and collaborate with development teams.
7. Own problems from report to resolution.
8. Work with engineers to understand application environments.
9. Collaborate with product management on application scope.
10. Work independently on critical projects while handling daily duties.
11. Work with technologies like Cassandra, MQTT, Docker, and Kubernetes.

Qualifications

We seek someone who enjoys purpose-driven work, thrives on solving challenging problems, and is eager to learn. Key qualifications include:

• At least 2 years of experience with the relevant technologies.
• Good knowledge of Linux/Unix.
• Scripting skills in Bash and shell utilities.
• SQL knowledge, including queries, joins, and sub-queries.
• Basic networking knowledge.
• Proficiency in Python, Git, Kubernetes.
• Jira and Go knowledge are pluses.
• Excellent communication skills in English and Greek.
• Ability to work remotely, multi-task, and be detail-oriented.
