Job summary

M.C. Dean in Virginia is offering Engineer 1 – New College Grad roles across Control, Design, Energy, Software, Systems, and Telecommunications. You will work closely with seasoned engineers in offices, labs, and on-site projects to build expertise through formal training and hands-on learning.

As a new graduate, you will design, develop, install, and maintain equipment, drive energy efficiency initiatives, and support enterprise software and large network projects under experienced mentorship.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Electrical, Mechanical, Systems, or Industrial Engineering, or similar discipline.
• Professional or academic experience using technical solutions such as CAD, SolidWorks, Revit, Python, SCADA, MATLAB, VHDL, or similar.

Responsibilities

• Design, install, and maintain equipment used to monitor and control systems, machinery, and processes.
• Develop, integrate, and support project engineering deliverables through drawings, specifications, product selection, installation sequence planning, and commissioning.
• Drive energy efficiency initiatives, reducing operational costs, and supporting sustainability commitments.
• Provide software development services for projects and enterprise software in client and web environments.
• Provide system programming and management support for large-scale networking infrastructures.
