Harris Energy Solutions, LLC (HES) is hiring an Energy Engineer to join our team in a hybrid role across the United States. The position focuses on energy modeling, energy audits, retro-commissioning, and building commissioning to help clients optimize system performance and reduce energy waste.

Ideal candidates hold a Bachelor’s degree in engineering and 0–2 years of energy engineering experience, with proficiency in Microsoft Office and a solid understanding of energy efficiency technologies,

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, or Facilities).
• 0-2 years of experience in the energy engineering field.
• Experience with building energy modeling techniques.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office.
• Understanding of energy efficiency technologies, HVAC systems, and renewable systems.
• Travel throughout the United States.

Responsibilities

• Perform Energy Modelling: compile data for inputs into energy modeling software and execute building modeling.
• Perform ASHRAE Level I/II/III Energy Audits: analyze utility bills, identify energy conservation measures, and generate technical reports.
• Perform Retro-Commissioning Studies: onsite performance testing and energy savings analyses for projects.
• Perform Building Commissioning: develop commissioning plans, review drawings and submittals, and create functional checksheets.

HES offers a full suite of consulting services, including Building Energy modeling, Renewable Energy Consulting, Master Planning, Energy Audit, Building Commissioning, and Building Retro-Commissioning. We pride ourselves on the work we perform and the services we provide. HES is hiring an Energy Engineer to join our team.

Responsibilities

• Perform Energy Modelling: Perform drawing reviews to identify applicable building components, compile data for inputs into building energy modeling software, and execute building modeling
• Perform ASHRAE Level I/II/III Energy Audits: Analyze utility bills and drawings to identify building energy consumption, conduct onsite energy audits of complex building systems, identify Energy Conservation Measures, perform energy savings and cost analyses for the project, generate a technical report for deliverables to clients
• Perform Retro-Commissioning Studies: Analyze utility bills and drawings to identify building energy consumption, conduct onsite performance testing of complex building systems, identify Retro-Commissioning Measures, perform energy savings and cost analyses for projects, and generate technical reports as deliverables to clients
• Perform Building Commissioning: Generate commissioning plan, perform design reviews of drawings, specifications, and submittals, create Pre-Functional and Functional Checksheets, conduct site visits to inspect construction progress, execute PFCs and FCs, generate systems manual/final commissioning reports

Requirements

• Bachelor’s in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, or Facilities)
• 0-2 years of experience in the energy engineering field
• Experience with building energy modeling techniques
• Proficient in Microsoft Office
• Understanding of energy efficiency technologies, HVAC systems, and renewable systems
• Experience with large commercial and multi-family buildings preferred but not necessary.
• Travel throughout the United States
