Job summary

Ashtead Technology in Houma, LA is seeking a hands-on Junior Electrical Technician to join the Mechanical Solutions team. You will perform inspections, assist with maintenance and repairs, and help prepare equipment to meet customer demand in a fast-paced workshop environment.

You will bring a technical qualification or equivalent experience, with fault finding abilities and forklift operation skills, and be flexible with working hours to support ongoing operations.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Performing inspections and preventative maintenance on equipment.
• Supporting diagnosis, rebuild and repair of equipment.
• Delivery and pickup of products and company equipment as required.
• Maintain cleanliness of company vehicles in line with QHSE standards.
• Assist other team members including Technicians and Logistics as needed.
• Undertake any other ad-hoc duties as directed by the Line Manager.

Job description

Ashtead Technology are looking for a hands on Junior Electrical Technician growing Mechanical Solutions team in Houma, Louisiana. In this role, you will support the wider workshop team in performing maintenance and repairs and preparing equipment to meet customer demand.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Performing inspections and preventative maintenance on a variety of equipment.
• Supporting to diagnose, rebuild and repair equipment.
• Delivery and pickup products and company equipment to/from customers and vendors as required.
• Maintain cleanliness of company vehicles in line with QHSE regulations and arranging servicing and maintenance as required.
• Assist other members of the team as required including Technicians and Logistics with shopping and receiving.
• Any other ad‑hoc duties as requested by the Line Manager.

What You’ll Bring

• Relevant qualification in technical discipline and/or equivalent industry experience.
• Experience in a fault finding and problem solving.
• Ability to operate a forklift.
• Willingness to be flexible with working hours to assist with operational demands.
