Job summary

CRB is seeking an Electrical Engineer I to assist in the design and engineering of power, lighting, and building support systems. You will participate in calculations, reports, and CAD work while coordinating with other disciplines and external partners.

The role involves basic design tasks, field investigations, and collaboration to ensure constructible plans. Travel to client sites is expected as needed within a design firm setting.

Qualifications

  • ABET-accredited Bachelor’s degree required.
  • 0–3 years of design-firm experience preferred.
  • FE exam registration or completion preferred.
  • Experience performing electrical lighting, power, and special systems design calculations.
  • Ability to interface with clients and external partners.
  • Willingness to travel for client development and project execution.
  • Experience conducting field surveys of existing conditions.
  • Ability to perform fundamental electrical design calculations under supervision.

Responsibilities

  • Layout basic electrical systems in conformance with code requirements and in coordination with other design disciplines.
  • Conduct basic field investigations to integrate design with existing systems and structures.
  • Collaborate with architects, engineers, and designers to ensure a coordinated, constructible design.
  • Work on matters of basic complexity in a support role under supervision of more experienced Electrical Engineers.
  • Self-check one's own work.
  • Possibly work on multiple projects simultaneously as directed by a Supervisor.
  • Project work may include studies, concept design, design development, construction documents, and administration.
