Job summary

FLANDERS is seeking an Electrical Controls Technician I for our Evansville team to assemble and wire control panels and assist with on-site installations. You will work with engineers and other technicians to ensure proper panel setup and documentation.

The role requires a high school diploma with related experience and familiarity with electrical test equipment, and a willingness to learn safety procedures while maintaining a clean, safe work environment.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent with 2 years of related experience.
  • Basic understanding of electrical materials, symbols, components and uses.
  • Familiarity with electrical test equipment (DMM, HiPot, Megger).
  • Ability to read, write, and comprehend basic to moderately complex instructions.
  • Basic computer knowledge including Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to operate overhead cranes, hoists, fork lifts, and other equipment.
  • Ability to perform simple math operations and fractions.

Responsibilities

  • Assemble routine/basic control panels.
  • Read and interpret simple electrical layout drawings and diagrams.
  • Lay out enclosures, back panels, and components per drawings.
  • Install and wire controls per detailed instructions.
  • Test continuity and simple functions of control panels.
  • Prepare finished assemblies for shipment.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
