Job summary

FLANDERS Inc. in Evansville, IN, is seeking an Electrical Controls Technician I to assemble control panels, assist wiring, and help with on-site installation and servicing of electrical components.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent; two years related experience.
  • Basic understanding of electrical materials and applications.
  • Familiarity with electrical symbols and components.
  • Ability to read electrical drawings and schematics.
  • Knowledge of test equipment (DMM, Hipot, Megger).
  • Willingness to operate cranes and shop tools.
  • Commitment to safety procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Assemble routine/basic control panels.
  • Read and interpret electrical layout drawings and diagrams.
  • Lay out enclosures, back panels, and components per drawings.
  • Mount components to enclosure and back panels after approval.
  • Print wire labels and engrave panel tags.
  • Assist with wiring controls per detailed instructions/drawings/schematics.
  • Perform continuity and simple function tests of control panels.
  • Prepare finished assemblies for shipment.
