Job summary

Metra in Chicago, IL is seeking a Programmer Analyst 1 to assist the Asset Data Systems team. You will help develop and maintain applications for the enterprise asset management (EAM) systems (Maximo and ServiceMax), write automation scripts, and create reports across platforms.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in CS or equivalent experience, proficiency with REST and APIs, and strong data skills. You will collaborate with vendors, end users, and SMEs to map processes and ensure system

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field or equivalent combination of education/experience.
• Courses or experience in programming/scripting languages (Swift, XML, Python, Jython, Java or JavaScript) on iOS/Windows.
• Familiar with installing/troubleshooting/upgrading applications and resolving errors.
• Experience with relational databases and EAM systems.
• Familiar with programming/scripting languages (Python, Jython, JavaScript, Swift, SQL, Java, CSS, HTML, or XML) for interfaces.
• Experience with iOS/Windows development environments.

Responsibilities

• Assist development and maintenance of applications to add functionality to the EAM systems.
• Write automation scripts for simple requests and develop reports across multiple platforms.
• Coordinate with vendors, end users, and SMEs to map and integrate business processes and ensure EAM meets requirements.
• Assist with system implementations, support, maintenance, and data security.
• Test new/updated applications and document procedures for end users and training materials.
