Job summary

RINA Piraeus Team seeks a Drainage Engineer to join its Environmental and Engineering Geoscience Division in Chicago or Lisle, IL. You will perform hydrology/hydraulic design for roadway projects, develop drainage plans and studies, and ensure compliance with IL DOT and related standards.

Ideal candidates hold a Civil Engineering degree with hydrology focus, EIT preferred, and experience in MicroStation and hydraulic software such as HEC-RAS/HEC-HMS.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering with hydrology/hydraulics focus.
• EIT or PE preferred; valid licensure advantageous.
• Proficient in MicroStation and hydraulic design software.

Responsibilities

• Perform drainage design for roadway projects and related studies.
• Develop drainage plans, profiles, and location drainage studies.
• Conduct hydrologic and hydraulic calculations for culverts and storm sewers.
• Prepare technical memorandums and drainage reports per standards.
• Coordinate with engineers and staff to ensure quality and compliance.
• Support preparation of final plans and specs for drainage facilities.
