Peckham Industries, Inc. is seeking a Junior DevSecOps Engineer to help build the next generation of infrastructure. You will implement code scanning and security tooling, use Terraform and Ansible for scalable deployments, and support IaC throughout our Azure and on‑prem environments.

This entry‑level role combines infrastructure, DevOps, and security engineering. You will grow with guidance from senior staff, contribute to CI/CD pipelines, and maintain strong documentation and communication

Qualifications

• Associate degree required; higher degree a plus (2-year minimum).
• 0–3 years of relevant technical experience; internships welcome.
• Foundational Windows and Linux knowledge.
• Networking basics: TCP/IP, DNS, firewalls, routing.
• Familiarity with Azure or public cloud; IaC (Terraform) and configuration management (Ansible).
• Experience with Git and CI/CD concepts; basic scripting (PowerShell, Python, Bash).
• Awareness of security fundamentals (OWASP Top 10, vulnerability scanning).
• Excellent written and verbal communication; ability to work in a team.
• Relevant certifications (AZ-900, Terraform Associate, Security+) are a plus but not required.
• Authorized to work in the U.S.

Responsibilities

• Develop IaC with Terraform and Ansible to deploy Peckham infrastructure.
• Integrate code scanning and security tooling into CI/CD pipelines.
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions).
• Manage Azure resources and on-premises servers via automation.
• Ensure reliability, backup, recovery, and security across environments.
• Provide second-level support to the help desk for infra and security issues.
• Document architecture, standards, and runbooks.
