Job summary

Leidos is seeking a Junior DevOps Engineer in Chantilly, VA to support development and production environments. You will assist CI/CD pipelines, monitor systems, and help automate infrastructure in a fast-paced agile team environment.

The role requires a US Citizenship with TS/SCI and a Counter-Intelligence Polygraph, 1–3 years in DevOps or related fields, and a bachelor’s degree in CS/IT/Engineering. Docker, Terraform/Ansible, and Linux admin experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field.
• 1–3 years of DevOps, Systems Engineering, or Infrastructure Support experience.
• Familiarity with Linux system administration.
• Experience with Docker or containerized applications.
• CI/CD tools such as GitLab CI/CD.
• Infrastructure automation tools like Terraform or Ansible.
• Monitoring/logging tools (Grafana, Prometheus, ELK).
• Ability to troubleshoot deployment or environment issues.
• Understanding of networking fundamentals and Agile Scrum.

Responsibilities

• Deploy and maintain development and production environments.
• Assist with CI/CD pipeline implementation and troubleshooting.
• Monitor system health, logging, and alerting platforms.
• Support container orchestration and infrastructure automation efforts.
• Troubleshoot infrastructure and deployment-related issues.
• Assist with onboarding users and environment access requests.
• Document operational procedures and deployment processes.
• Collaborate with software developers to improve deployment reliability.
