Job description

Q-Free is the prime mover in innovative, safe, and sustainable transportation management. We work to do two things: improve mobility and make the world better by improving traffic flow, road safety, and air quality in communities all over the world.

As a member of the DevOps team, the junior engineer will support the development and operations teams as well as customers by assisting with software updates, software troubleshooting, code deployments, and automation of various tasks. The position is the foundation for understanding the collaboration between software development and IT operations.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Assisting in the development and maintenance of CI/CD pipelines to enable quick and reliable code deployment
  • Coordinate with development teams, support teams, and customers to resolve complex application and system issues
  • Supporting the automation of infrastructure provisioning and configuration to ensure reproducibility and scalability
  • Troubleshoot and rectify application issues.
  • Monitoring system performance, troubleshooting issues, and contributing to incident response and resolution
  • Plan and execute strategies and configuration changes to ensure optimal quality assurance for all applications
  • Respond and manage tickets submitted by customers, support team, and software development to resolve infrastructure and software related issues
  • Providing support to clients and team members in other departments
  • Participating in the creation and maintenance of documentation for DevOps processes and tools
  • Learning and adopting new tools and technologies to improve the DevOps workflow
  • Contributing to the development of security protocols to protect against cyber threats
  • Debug any server issues that impact application performance.
  • Engaging in performance analysis and system optimization to enhance user experience
  • Facilitating communication between software developers and IT operations staff to resolve technical issues
  • Supporting the development of automated testing frameworks to minimize defects in production
  • Assisting in the evaluation and implementation of containerization and orchestration technologies
  • Prepare and maintain documentation for all issues and implementation solutions.
  • Recommend ways to optimize business performance by presenting solutions to existing challenges
