Job Description

Martin Brûlé Studio seeks an experienced Interior Designer with a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience, preferably in high-end renovations and architectural projects, to support the design team in executing projects within deadlines. The candidate will work closely with principal designers to ensure project completion within timelines and budgets. The role requires organization, attention to detail, creativity, and knowledge in concept development, design, construction documents, and project management.

Job Responsibilities

1. Collaborate with the Head of Design and Senior Designers from project inception to completion.
2. Assist in managing multiple projects simultaneously.
3. Attend design meetings and installations, prepare minutes and task lists.
4. Create furniture plans, elevations, RCPs, millwork, and custom furniture drawings.
5. Use CAD and related software to produce construction documents.
6. Manage personal timelines and priorities within a team to meet deadlines.
7. Coordinate finish plans, specifications, and materials.
8. Build client presentations using tools like Adobe Suite, Microsoft Office, and Keynote.
9. Utilize project management tools such as Asana and Excel.
10. Research and source interior products and finishes.
11. Organize project folders with all related documents.
12. Conduct site visits as needed.
13. Advise clients on space planning, furnishings, and color coordination.

Job Qualifications

1. Knowledge of NYC/Paris design resources, including furniture, fabrics, vendors, and artisans.
2. Extensive understanding of design history, techniques, and technical plans.
3. Familiarity with industry terminology for architectural materials and custom furniture.
4. Understanding of ordering and production processes.
5. Excellent customer service skills, including needs assessment and quality evaluation.
